Alan Marc Smith
Chief Executive Officer
After a stellar career at Westcon Group, Inc., Alan was named Electrograph's CEO in 2005. As Westcon Group's CEO from 2001 to 2004, he steered the company's growth from $200 million in revenue to more than $2 billion. He managed eight acquisitions and 24 subsidiary integrations in 16 countries, and helped the company expand from 120 employees to more than 1,200. He is credited with helping diversify Westcon Group's revenue streams and transforming the company from SynOptics, a predominantly regional LAN products distributor, to a leading international specialty distributor of networking and communications equipment. Prior to being named CEO, Alan served as Westcon Group's executive vice president and chief operating officer and director of business development and planning. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Union College.
Sam Taylor
President
Sam has been at the forefront of Electrograph's explosive growth for many years. Prior to joining the company in 1987, he was a special projects manager at Technica Machine Corporation. As Electrograph's regional sales manager, Sam transformed the Mid-Atlantic region into the top-producing territory in the nation. He was promoted to vice president of sales and marketing in 1993 and subsequently named president in 1995. Since that time, Electrograph's annual sales have grown from $8 million to $164 million. Sam earned a bachelor's degree in engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a master's degree in engineering from Loyola College.
Frank Lincks, C.P.A.
Chief Financial Officer
Frank has enjoyed a lengthy and successful career in financial management. Prior to joining Electrograph, he was managing director at Centerprise Technology Advisors and held several executive titles at Interliant, Inc., including senior vice president of professional services and senior vice president of finance and accounting. He began his management career at GE Capital Information Technology Solutions, Inc. as its controller and was later named manager of business development finance. Frank earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Siena College and is a certified public accountant.
Maureen Schmidt
Senior Vice President of Sales
Maureen is responsible for overseeing all seven of Electrograph's sales regions and more than 75 sales professionals. She holds a 20-year record of achievement creating and executing channel sales strategies, building partnerships, developing sales teams and growing new business. Prior to joining Electrograph in 2007, Maureen served as vice president, North American Sales and senior director, Channel Sales for NEC Corporation of America. Marueen has also held a variety of channel and sales management positions with InFocus Corporation, Hyundai Electronics America and Mitsubishi Electronics America Systems.
Melody Craigmyle
Vice President of Marketing
Melody is an expert at both internal and external communication. She came to Electrograph from Avatech Solutions, where she served as Vice President of Marketing and Director of Corporate Communications. During her tenure at Avatech, she was instrumental in transforming 11 regional companies into a single national entity. Prior to joining Avatech in 1998, she was involved with public relations, events planning, and media buying in fields such as computer-aided design, healthcare, government, cosmetics, and broadcast media. Melody holds a Master's degree in communication from Regent University and a bachelor's degree in communications and French from the University of Kentucky.
John Riley
Vice President, Eastern Region Sales
John leads all sales activity in Electrograph’s Eastern half of the nation, which includes the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions. He oversees a growing team of inside and outside sales representatives, peripheral-focused solutions managers and a sales engineer, while working closely with Electrograph’s manufacturer and reseller partners. An Electrograph veteran, John has been with the company for 15 years and, in addition to sales, has worked in service management, tradeshow logistics and sales engineering. He was named Electrograph’s top sales representative for revenue and profitability in 2005 and earned sales awards for the most new accounts in 2004 and 2003. Prior to Electrograph, John was an aircraft technician for Northrop Grumman Aerospace. John is InfoComm International CTS Certified. He is also an Eagle Scout with The Boy Scouts of America.
Russ Short
Vice President, Western Region Sales
Based out of Seattle, Russ directs all sales activity in Electrograph’s Western half of the nation, which includes the Southwest, Midwest, Northwest and West regions. He leads a growing team of inside and outside sales representatives and peripheral-focused solutions managers. He came to Electrograph through the acquisition of CineLight where he was one of the founding partners and served as president of the company from its inception. Russ has a vast leadership background, having worked at BOXLIGHT and InFocus in sales, product management and product development roles. He also was vice president of sales for Ballard Computer Solutions and owned and managed several computer stores in Montana. Russ attended University of Iowa.
